Inside Jaisalmer Fort, a cluster of seven Svetambara Jain temples stands close together and is linked by passages. They were built between the 12th and 16th centuries from the same yellow sandstone as the fort, and every pillar, ceiling and bracket is carved with Tirthankaras, dancers, animals and floral patterns. The Chandraprabhu temple, completed around 1509, and the Parshvanath temple are the best known. The Gyan Bhandar library in the complex holds old palm leaf manuscripts. Non-Jain visitors are allowed in only in the morning. Remove shoes, and leave leather items and food outside.

- How to Reach: Walk up through the fort gates from Gopa Chowk. The temples are a few minutes from the main square inside the fort (Dussehra Chowk).
