Built in 1591 by Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the Charminar is the iconic heart of Hyderabad. This grand Indo-Islamic structure, featuring four majestic minarets and intricate limestone carvings, was constructed to commemorate the end of a deadly plague. Surrounded by the vibrant Laad Bazaar, it offers a perfect blend of history, spiritual significance, and local culture. Visitors can climb its 149 steps for a bird's-eye view of the city's historic Old Town.
