Pawan Dham Temple

A modern glass and mirror temple unlike anything else in Haridwar, with intricate mosaic work depicting Hindu mythology throughout.

Pawan Dham, also known as the Glass Temple, is a modern temple built entirely with glass mosaic work covering every wall, ceiling, and idol. Located on Sapt Sarovar Road, it was founded by Swami Vedantanand Ji Maharaj and is run as a non-profit. The interiors depict scenes from Hindu mythology, the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, and the lives of various saints through elaborate coloured glass and mirror inlay work. The visual effect inside is striking and unlike any traditional temple in the city. It is a popular stop for pilgrims and first-time visitors to Haridwar who are doing the full circuit of the city.
