Sultanpur National Park is a 142 hectare wetland on the Gurugram Farrukhnagar road, about 15 km from the city, listed under the Ramsar Convention. A walking trail circles the central lake past four watchtowers. Between October and March migratory birds arrive, including bar-headed geese, northern pintails, Eurasian wigeons, greater flamingos and demoiselle cranes, alongside resident painted storks and other waterbirds. Come early in the morning and bring binoculars. The park is closed on Tuesdays and from June to September.
