Shiv Kund in Sohna is a Shiva temple built around a natural hot sulphur spring at the foot of the Aravalli hills. The water rises at roughly 46 to 51°C and is collected in bathing tanks, and many visitors believe a dip helps with skin ailments. The biggest crowds come on Somvati Amavasya, when a no moon day falls on a Monday, and at Shivratri. Sohna is about 25 to 30 km south of central Gurugram along Sohna Road, usually under an hour by car outside rush hour, and Damdama Lake is about 12 km away, so the two make an easy half day trip.
