It adjoins Manas National Park in India and links through corridors to other Bhutanese parks. Tigers, elephants, gaur, golden langurs and four species of hornbill live here, and it is the only park in Bhutan with one horned rhinos and wild water buffalo.
Visitors need a park permit as well as their Bhutan entry permit, and foreign visitors travel with a licensed guide. The Panbang area offers community ecotourism with rafting, jungle walks and eco camps.
