Craftsmen's Village

Craftsmen's Village, also called Shilpgram, sits behind the Sabarmati river and draws visitors and shoppers for its hand printed Bandhani sarees and dresses decorated using traditional wooden printing blocks. Skilled artisans work on site, giving visitors a chance to see the craft in progress before buying directly from the source. The prices remain reasonably affordable compared to city markets, and the setting offers a slower paced alternative to Gandhinagar's more commercial shopping areas.
