Capital Complex

The Capital Complex houses Gujarat's key legislative and administrative buildings, including Vithalbhai Patel Bhavan, Sardar Bhavan, and Narmada Bhavan, all arranged around a large artificial lake. Vithalbhai Patel Bhavan contains the Vidhan Sabha and legislature office and stands on a podium that appears to float on the water. The complex reflects Gandhinagar's identity as a planned capital city and remains an example of modern Indian civic architecture, though a permit is required to enter the buildings themselves.
