Akshardham Temple

Akshardham Temple stands as one of Gujarat's largest Swaminarayan shrines, built from six thousand tonnes of pink sandstone over more than a decade. The sanctum houses a seven foot gold leafed idol of Lord Swaminarayan seated in blessing. Surrounding gardens, intricate stone carvings, and an exhibition hall add depth to the visit, while the evening laser and sound show draws crowds after dark. The temple remains a major pilgrimage stop for devotees across Gujarat and beyond.
