Kite Beach is a long public beach in Umm Suqeim and takes its name from the kitesurfers who use this stretch of coast on windy afternoons. Burj Al Arab is visible down the shore, which makes it a popular spot for sunset photos.
The beach has a running and cycling track, sports courts, showers and changing areas, and a row of food trucks and cafes along the promenade. Entry to the beach is free.
Swim only in the marked areas and watch for flags on rough days. Mornings and evenings are the most comfortable times outside the cooler months.
