Etihad Museum stands at the place where the United Arab Emirates was founded in 1971. Run by Dubai Culture, it uses interactive exhibitions, documents and education programmes to tell the story of the union, with a focus on the years 1968 to 1974, and explains the UAE constitution.
Dubai Culture says the museum officially opened on 2 December 2016 and welcomed visitors from 7 January 2017. The site sits beside the Union House and its large flagpole on Jumeirah Street. Tickets are booked through Dubai Culture; check current opening hours and prices there before you go, or call 800 33222.
