Netravati River Barrage

The Netravati River Barrage lies about 2 km from the Manjunatha Temple and serves as the traditional bathing ghat for pilgrims arriving at Dharmasthala. Devotees consider a dip here an act of spiritual purification before seeking darshan. Separate bathing areas for men and women are available. Beyond its ritual significance, the barrage setting offers scenic views of the river flanked by the Western Ghats. The SDM Nature Cure Hospital, run by the Dharmasthala trust, is located along the same riverbank.
