Chandranath Swamy Basadi is a centuries-old Digambara Jain temple that predates the fame of the Manjunatha Temple and stands as evidence of Dharmasthala's deep Jain roots. Renovated in 2001 by Dr. Veerendra Heggade, it is now clad in white marble set against lush green surroundings. Dedicated to Chandranatha, the eighth Tirthankara, the basadi features intricately carved pillars and detailed stone ceilings that have survived over four centuries. It remains one of the most revered Digambara shrines in South India and offers a rare meditative quietude within the temple precinct.
