Rikhia Ashram (Satyananda Yoga Ashram)

Rikhia Ashram, formally known as Rikhiapeeth, is situated in a forested setting about 13 km from Deoghar and was established by Paramahamsa Satyananda Saraswati, the founder of the internationally known Bihar School of Yoga. The ashram is a residential center dedicated to yoga sadhana, Vedic rituals, and community service, and hosts spiritual events and retreats throughout the year. The campus is quiet, disciplined, and surrounded by rural Jharkhand landscape. Visitors are welcome at scheduled events and programmes, and the ashram is increasingly known as a serious destination for practitioners of classical yoga traditions.
