Deoghar Baidyanath Bazaar

A bustling pilgrimage market surrounding the Baidyanath temple, selling rudraksha, copper items, sindoor, conch shells, and devotional souvenirs.

The Deoghar Baidyanath Bazaar is the lively commercial strip that encircles the Baidyanath Dham complex and serves pilgrims arriving from across India. Shops here specialise in religious and devotional goods: rudraksha malas, copper and brass ritual items, sindoor, conch shells, Shiva-themed idols, and framed deity prints. Vendors also sell the famous Deoghar peda, a sweet closely associated with the pilgrimage. The market is busiest during the Shravan Mela, when it runs virtually round the clock, but maintains steady activity throughout the year given the temple's year-round pilgrim footfall.
