Opened in 2019, the National War Memorial stands right across from India Gate. It honours over 25,000 Indian soldiers who died in wars and operations after independence. Their names are carved on granite walls arranged in circles around a central eternal flame, with a bronze soldier statue nearby. Since it sits in the same lawns as India Gate along Kartavya Path, visitors usually see both together without any extra travel.
