National Science Centre

A hands-on science museum near Pragati Maidan with fun exhibits on the human body, technology, and space across several floors.

The National Science Centre opened in 1992 near Pragati Maidan, opposite the Old Bhairon Temple. It is one of the biggest science museums in Asia, with galleries on the human body, technology, prehistoric life, and information technology. Most exhibits are hands-on rather than just for viewing, which makes it popular with children and school groups. Science shows run through the day in both English and Hindi. It pairs well with a visit to India Gate or the National Gallery of Modern Art, both close by.
