Uttara Swami Malai Mandir (Malai Mandir)

Uttara Swami Malai Mandir (Malai Mandir) is a South Indian style granite temple atop a small hillock in Sector 7, R.K. Puram, New Delhi. Dedicated to Lord Swaminatha (Murugan), it was built in the 1960s and serves as the cultural and spiritual anchor for Delhi's Tamil and South Indian diaspora. The temple follows traditional Agamic rituals and is built with granite brought from Tamil Nadu. Its distinctive South Indian gopuram stands out in the planned residential landscape of R.K. Puram. The temple celebrates all major Tamil festivals and is particularly busy during Skanda Sashti and Panguni Uttaram.
