Jantar Mantar is located on Sansad Marg, close to Connaught Place. Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur built it in 1724 to track the movement of the sun, moon, and planets without telescopes. The site has thirteen large stone instruments, including the tall Samrat Yantra sundial. Visitors can walk around and even climb parts of some structures for a better view. It is easy to combine with a Connaught Place visit or a walk along Rajpath, and one hour is usually enough to see the whole site.
