Fatehpuri Masjid

Fatehpuri Masjid was built in 1650 by Fatehpuri Begum, a wife of Emperor Shah Jahan, and stands at the western end of Chandni Chowk right beside Khari Baoli. Made of red sandstone with a central dome and tall minarets, it is still an active place of worship and one of the oldest surviving mosques in Old Delhi. Since it sits right at the entrance to the spice market, most visitors combine both in one stop, with the mosque courtyard offering a calmer break from the noise outside.
