Al Jawahar Restaurant

Al Jawahar sits opposite Gate No. 1 of Jama Masjid and has been a fixture of Old Delhi's food scene for decades. The restaurant is named after India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, who is credited with inaugurating it. Mutton stew, kaleji gurda, and chicken jahangiri are among the most ordered dishes, alongside a well loved mutton biryani and nihari served fresh in the mornings.
