Tiger Hill

Tiger Hill is one of the most famous viewpoints in Darjeeling, located at an altitude of 2,590 meters, approximately 11 km from the town center. It is renowned for its breathtaking sunrise views over the Himalayas, including Mount Kanchenjunga (8,586 meters) and on clear days, even Mount Everest (8,848 meters) can be seen. The hill offers panoramic vistas of the entire mountain range, with the first rays of the sun painting the snow-capped peaks in golden and orange hues. Visitors typically arrive early in the morning (around 4-5 AM) to witness this spectacular natural phenomenon. The viewpoint also offers stunning views during sunset and is a popular destination for photographers and nature enthusiasts.
