Dolphin's Nose is Coonoor's most dramatic viewpoint, a rock outcrop that juts over deep valleys and tea covered slopes. On clear days you can see far across the Nilgiris, and Catherine Falls appears as a distant white streak from the tip. The drive from town winds through estates and is almost as scenic as the viewpoint itself. Arrive early for mist and soft light, and allow time for the narrow approach road.
