The Surana Double Haveli is the most iconic structure in Churu, built in the 1870s by the wealthy Surana merchant clan. With a claimed 1,111 doors and windows, the twin-block mansion is one of the grandest examples of Shekhawati architecture anywhere in Rajasthan. Its facades are adorned with floor-to-ceiling fresco paintings depicting mythological scenes, folk tales, and images of the merchant family's prosperous life. Often called the Hawa Mahal of Churu, it remains the defining landmark of the old haveli quarter.
