Kanhaiya Lal Bagla Haveli, built around 1880, stands just south of Churu's main bazaar and is widely regarded as the jewel of the town's fresco heritage. Its exterior walls carry what scholars consider the finest single frieze in all of Shekhawati, depicting the folk romance of Dhola and Maru riding a camel and the ill-fated lovers Sassi and Punu on horseback, rendered with remarkable colour and expression. The southwestern side also features a small Jama Masjid and a decorated Muslim haveli with non-figurative artwork nearby.
