Mendri Gumar Falls is a modest, seasonal waterfall near Mardum village, along the approach road to Chitrakoot. Locally described as a mist producing cascade, it runs at its fullest during the monsoon months and can thin considerably or disappear entirely in the dry season. The falls see far fewer visitors than Chitrakoot itself, making it a low key stop for travellers curious about smaller waterfalls scattered across the Bastar countryside. There are no formal facilities at the site.
