Jhari Falls (Buttermilk Falls)

Jhari Falls, nicknamed Buttermilk Falls for its frothy white cascade, drops within a private coffee estate near Attigundi and is reached by an adventurous jeep ride over rocky, off road terrain before a short walk to the falls themselves. A pool at the base invites swimming after the trek, and the surrounding coffee plantation and dense forest add to the sense of a hidden, working landscape rather than a purely scenic stop. The jeep ride itself has become part of the attraction for many visitors.
