Known formally as the Muthiyalpettai Kandaswami Temple, this sacred site is one of the most prominent Murugan temples in North Chennai. Dating back to the 1670s, it is celebrated for its ornate gopuram and the beautifully carved pillars within the mahamandapam. The temple becomes a center of intense devotion during the Skanda Sashti and Thai Poosam festivals, drawing thousands of pilgrims who come to witness the traditional Tamil rituals.
