Le Corbusier-designed museum housing India's finest Gandharan sculpture collection and Pahari miniature paintings.

Government Museum and Art Gallery in Sector 10 is housed in a building designed by Le Corbusier and opened in 1968. The collection was formed from the partition of the Central Museum, Lahore in 1948 and constitutes one of India's finest assemblies of art and archaeology. Highlights include an exceptional gallery of Gandharan Buddhist sculpture, a renowned collection of Pahari and Rajasthani miniature paintings, pre-historic fossils, coins, decorative arts, textiles and paintings of the Himalayan peaks by Nicholas Roerich.
