Shehzadi Ka Rauza

Shehzadi Ka Rauza is a mausoleum believed to be dedicated to a young princess, its design mixing Islamic domes and arches with Hindu decorative carving in a way typical of Chanderi's layered architectural history. Surrounded by gardens, the site has a quieter, more reflective atmosphere than the town's larger fort and mosque complexes. The story behind the tomb is told with variations locally, adding a note of legend to what is otherwise a fairly modest structure.
