Tiger Falls

Tiger Falls

Waterfall with a sheer drop of about 312 ft below Chakrata, among the highest direct falls in Uttarakhand.

Tiger Falls drops about 312 ft in a single sheer fall into a pool in the forest below Chakrata, and it is often described as one of the highest direct waterfalls in Uttarakhand. It is about 20 km from Chakrata by road. From the road end, a short walk down through oak and rhododendron forest leads to the base of the falls. The flow is strongest after the monsoon and thinner by late autumn, but the walk and the cool pool make it worth a visit in any dry month. The steps and rocks get slippery, so wear shoes with grip.
