Ancient Hindu temple in Gaya believed to hold Vishnu's footprint, central to the pind-daan ritual.

Vishnupad Temple stands on the banks of the Falgu River in nearby Gaya town, revered as a site where Lord Vishnu's footprint is said to be preserved. The temple holds major significance for the Hindu ritual of pind-daan, performed to honour deceased ancestors, drawing large numbers of pilgrims especially during Pitru Paksha. The current structure was rebuilt in 1787 by Maratha queen Ahilyabai Holkar.
