Positioned just opposite the entrance to the Mahabodhi complex, the Chinese Temple was constructed by Buddhist monks and displays Chinese artistic styles alongside a Buddha statue within its sanctum. It closes earlier than most other sites in town, by early evening, so visits are best planned earlier in the day. The temple offers a quick but worthwhile stop given its proximity to the main pilgrimage circuit.
