National Research Centre on Camel

The National Research Centre on Camel (NRCC) near Bikaner is India's only dedicated research centre for camels, established in 1984. The centre conducts research on camel breeding, health, nutrition, and products, and houses a large herd of camels including both the one-humped dromedary (Camelus dromedarius) common in Rajasthan and the two-humped Bactrian camel. Visitors can tour the research facilities, interact with camels, and learn about camel biology, uses, and conservation.
