Jorbeed near Bikaner is one of India's premier raptor-watching sites, drawing birdwatchers and wildlife photographers from across the world between October and March. The area around the National Research Centre on Camel (NRCC) and the nearby rubbish dumps attracts enormous concentrations of vultures, eagles, and other raptors feeding on carcasses. Species regularly seen include Egyptian Vulture, Griffon Vulture, Cinereous Vulture, Steppe Eagle, Greater Spotted Eagle, Indian Spotted Eagle, and Long-legged Buzzard. The site is considered one of the top winter birding spots in the Indian Subcontinent.
