Vijay Vilas Palace

A 1929 royal summer palace in Mandvi blending Indo European architecture with private beach access.

Vijay Vilas Palace was built in 1929 by Maharao Vijay Singh as a summer retreat for the Kutch royal family, combining Rajput and colonial architectural influences across its 450 acre estate. The palace interiors display period furniture, portraits and artefacts from the princely era, while the terrace offers views over landscaped gardens toward the Arabian Sea. Its attached private beach has made the estate a popular filming location for Bollywood productions. A short walk connects the palace grounds to Mandvi's public beach and shipbuilding yard.
