Bhujodi Village

A weavers' village 8 km from Bhuj where master craftspeople produce Kutchi textiles including Dhebaria Rabari embroidery and Shrujan work.

Bhujodi is a craft village 8 km south of Bhuj where nearly every household is engaged in some form of traditional textile production. The village is best known for its weavers producing wool and cotton fabrics with geometric Kutchi patterns, but also concentrates embroidery artisans working in Dhebaria Rabari, Ahir and other regional styles. Visitors can watch craftspeople at work in their homes, purchase textiles directly and visit the Vande Mataram Memorial Museum nearby. Bhujodi is the most accessible introduction to Kutch's extraordinary living craft traditions.
