Vasudhara Falls

A 400-foot Himalayan waterfall at 12000 feet elevation reached by a 6 km trek from Mana Village associated with the Pandavas' ascent to heaven.

Vasudhara Falls cascades 400 feet from a clifftop at roughly 3,600 metres above sea level, about 9 km from Badrinath via a 6 km trek from Mana Village. The glacial water flows through medicinal alpine herbs, and a popular belief holds that the spray turns away from those with impure hearts. According to the Mahabharata, the Pandavas passed through here on their Swargarohini journey, and Sahadeva is believed to have left his mortal body near the falls. The trek passes views of the Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, and Balakun peaks.
