Sheshnetra is a naturally formed rock situated close to the Badrinath Temple, bearing an imprint that devotees identify as the eye of Shesh Naag, the divine serpent on whose coils Lord Vishnu reclines. According to belief, Shesh Naag's eye watches over the Badrinath shrine, guarding Lord Vishnu. The site is considered a subsidiary shrine in the Badrinath pilgrimage circuit and is typically visited alongside Tapt Kund and Brahma Kapal as part of the sacred perambulation around the main temple complex. It is a small but spiritually significant stop for devout pilgrims completing the full Badrinath circuit.
