Swarna Pakashale is a pure vegetarian restaurant close to the Badami bus stand, with friendly staff and quick service. The jolada rotti meal with yengai gravy is the main local order, and the bele holige and puran poli with ghee are favourites for dessert. The menu also has rasam rice, pulihora and a few Indo-Chinese and North Indian dishes, and they pack parcels well for train journeys.
