Set close to Agastya Lake, the Archaeological Museum gathers sculpture recovered from Badami and its surrounding sites. Its most discussed piece is the sandstone Lajja Gauri, a lotus headed fertility goddess, displayed alongside carved Shiva panels and other Chalukya relics. The collection is modest in size but useful for understanding the artistic and religious context of the cave temples before or after visiting them.
