Hanuman Garhi is a hilltop temple in Ayodhya dedicated to Lord Hanuman, perched atop a 76-step climb on a small hill. The temple holds great significance as Hanuman is believed to guard the birthplace of Lord Ram from this vantage point. The main shrine houses a large idol of Hanuman with his mother Anjani, and the view from the top overlooks the sacred city. Hanuman Garhi is the first stop on the traditional Ayodhya pilgrimage circuit and sees massive crowds during Ram Navami, Hanuman Jayanti, and Diwali.
