Sunheri Mahal, the Golden Palace, is a 17th-century Mughal-era mansion in the heart of Aurangabad that served as a pleasure retreat for nobles of the Aurangzeb court. The structure retains its original arched facade and elegant proportions and now houses a museum dedicated to Dr B.R. Ambedkar, commemorating his life and the struggle for Dalit rights. The combination of Mughal architectural heritage and its current memorial function makes it an unusual and quietly significant site.
