Gul Mandi is the historic commercial heart of Aurangabad, a crowded and energetic bazaar where the city's famous handloom textiles take centre stage. Shops here sell Himroo fabric, hand-woven shawls and Paithani sarees, as well as Bidriware silverware inlay work and Aurangabadi pearls. It is the most authentic and affordable place to shop for the traditional crafts the city is known for, and the surrounding lanes extend into a full-scale neighbourhood market of spices, jewellery and household goods.
