Chattrakund is a small freshwater lake in pine and oak forest about 4 km from Auli and roughly 1 km on from Gorson Bugyal. The path is an easy day walk if you stay in Auli, and far quieter than the ropeway and ski area. Photographers come for still water and forest shade rather than big peak panoramas. Pair it with Gorson Bugyal on the same outing and return to Auli before dark.
