The Auli Ropeway runs about 4.15 km from the Joshimath lower station to Tower 10 on the Auli ridge. The ride takes around 20 to 25 minutes over oak forest, with Nanda Devi and neighbouring peaks visible on a clear day. You can also reach Auli by road, then use the ropeway as a scenic outing rather than only as transport. Winter cabins finish beside the ski slopes and the chairlift toward the artificial lake.
