Khalsa Park is anchored by an eighty one foot stainless steel Khanda, the double edged sword symbol central to Sikh identity, rising prominently over the surrounding grounds. The park offers open space for visitors to walk and pause after moving through the denser, more crowded gurudwara complexes nearby. Its scale and visibility make it something of a modern landmark within Anandpur Sahib, standing in deliberate contrast to the older, more traditional built heritage found throughout the rest of the town.
