Siliserh Lake sits southwest of Alwar among wooded Aravalli hills. Maharaja Vinay Singh built a hunting lodge here in the 1840s, now run as a heritage hotel overlooking the water. Boating and lakeside walks are the main draws, especially in winter when migratory birds appear. It works well as an afternoon escape after the city palace circuit.
