Bala Qila, also called Alwar Fort, rises on a rocky Aravalli ridge above the town. The fortifications stretch for kilometres with multiple gates and towers, and the approach road climbs through forested hillside. On clear days the ramparts give wide views over Alwar and the surrounding hills. Check current access before you go, as road or forest entry rules can change.
