Baba Thakur Das & Sons is one of the best-known sweet shops in Alwar, famous for its kalakand, the milk cake the city is known for. The shop also makes sohan halwa, barfi varieties, kaju katli and boondi laddu, along with savouries such as mathri and dhokla. Freshly made kachori and samosa are served with chutney or kadhi. The shop has several outlets across Alwar, including one on the Alwar-Jaipur highway.
